Kim Kardashian West fell victim to a horrific gunpoint robbery in Paris early Monday morning. And though the nightmarish incident wasn’t caught on camera for her reality show, many of the star’s famous family’s scariest brushes with crime and pranks gone awry actually have been.

Kim in particular has been the target of several high-profile incidents ranging from simply startling to legitimately criminal.

Just days before this week’s armed robbery, she was the target of known celebrity prankster Vitalii Sediuk, who attempted to kiss the reality star’s rear end as she stepped out in Paris (days earlier, he’d grabbed model Gigi Hadid and lifted her off the ground in Milan). This time around, Kim did press charges against Sediuk, who has previously come too close to stars like Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio and America Ferrera, among others, and who previously dove at Kim in 2014 when she was in Paris for Fashion Week.

And in 2012, she was flour-bombed in 2012 by a woman while walking the red carpet at a fragrance launch event in West Hollywood. “That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me,” Kardashian told E! News at the time. Though she declined to press charges, a non-criminal battery report was taken by police and the attacker was detained by hotel security (and later released).

Kim’s older sister Kourtney Kardashian was actually the first of the family to have to deal with sticky fingers in her home, however. In October 2009, the star returned home from dinner with then-boyfriend Scott Disick to discover that approximately $108,000 in jewelry had been stolen from her Calabasas, California, house in a break-in. Among the missing items was vintage jewelry given to Kourtney by her late father, Robert, and a Cartier watch worth almost $30,000.

In 2014, Kourtney’s Calabasas home was reportedly burglarized again, in February, with the thieves taking $50,000 in cash from the property. PEOPLE later reported that police were investigating a link between this robbery and a March burglary of Khloé Kardashian’s home in the San Fernando Valley. Items reportedly missing in that particular burglary tallied up to $250,000, most of it in jewelry. There was no sign of forced entry, though, and the home was empty at the time, as Khloé and then-husband Lamar Odom had moved out in November 2013.

The next member of the family to have a fan keep up with them a little too closely was matriarch Kris Jenner, who came face-to-face with a stalker in her Calabasas home in December 2015. The man, who had apparently come to California from Texas by bus, told security he had a meeting with Jenner and posed as part of the crew redecorating the family’s home for Christmas. The man was actually escorted to Jenner’s house by security and spoke to her directly before the sheriff’s office was called. He was detained and placed on psychiatric hold, and Jenner subsequently fired her entire security team. “Everyone at the house was really upset that security didn’t do their job properly,” a source told E! at the time.

Kylie Jenner was dealing with her own issues in December 2015, too: Police arrested a man in the final week of the month after he attempted to force his way onto the youngest Jenner’s property. The man, who escaped from a facility where he was being held after his previous attempt to break into Jenner’s home, was placed on psychiatric hold – he apparently believed that he and Jenner were “soul mates.”

And 2016 has been a pretty rough year to be a Kardashian – or even Kardashian-adjacent. In May, the LAPD responded to a call at Blac Chyna’s home; $200,000 had reportedly been stolen from her safe. And in June, the family’s clothing store, DASH, was the target of an attempted arson: an individual threw a heavy object through the store’s front window, and when police arrived on the scene on West Hollywood’s Melrose Avenue, they found it “smoldering,” though it failed to ignite.

Two separate individuals were arrested this August for stalking members of the Jenner family, too. Shavaughn McKenzie pled not guilty to misdemeanor stalking and trespassing charges related to his stalking of Kendall Jenner, after he was found waiting in her driveway on Aug. 14 (he’d been arrested multiple times before for trespassing on the University of California Los Angeles campus).

Then on Aug. 18, police arrested Christina Elizabeth Bankston on numerous charges including hacking one of Kris Jenner’s online accounts, impersonating her former spouse, Caitlyn Jenner, and threatening via text messages. Prosecutors allege that the stalking dated back to March and September 2014.

While there’s little doubt the famous family’s high profile leaves them open to security risks, it’s clearly they are taking Monday’s incident with the utmost seriousness: Kim and husband Kanye West reunited at their New York City apartment accompanied by a cavalcade of security hours after the incident, and a source now tells PEOPLE that West is “very angry” about what happened to his wife and “will obviously be changing the security details from now on.”
