On Tuesday, Kanye West was photographed with his hoodie covering his face (above) while leaving his NYC apartment where he’s been holed up with Kim Kardashian West since her traumatic armed robbery in Paris.
As you know, the rapper rescheduled two of his tour dates (in Philadelphia and Detroit) following the incident to be by his wife’s side.
Turns out, there’s another reason for ‘Ye to keep a low profile…
Also on Tuesday, reports surfaced claiming the fashion designer had a “nervous breakdown” following his unimpressive Yeezy Season 4 debut at NYFW last month — which you may remember was plagued with criticism and bad reviews.
Not to mention, there were models fainting and having trouble walking in ill-fitting shoes. Not a good look!
A source told Page Six the 39-year-old was not happy about the way things went, and he reportedly fired 30 members of his staff:
“He had his agent fire all 30 of his staff after the fashion show and got rid of his phone so people can only contact him via email. He had a nervous breakdown after the show, and that’s what triggered it all.”
Eep!
But, not so fast! Another source “close to the situation” refuted the claim:
“He didn’t have a ânervous breakdown.’ Some people got let go, and there was a reorganization of others who he moved back to the music side of things. He’s a grownup. He was reflective and disappointed in how things went … He took stock in what people were saying and he was disappointed. But he’s more determined than ever to get that stuff right. And as far as throwing away his cellphone? If he did, then it’s not the first time. He always does that.”
Well, regardless, it does sound like some people lost their jobs because of the disastrous September 7 showing.
Sounds like the Famous artist has a lot on his plate rn!
