Hilary Duff, Tattoo
Hilary Duff is rocking some new ink!
The Younger actress and singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to inform her fans and followers that she was visiting the Los Angeles based tattoo artist, Dr. Woo.
At first, she shared a sepia-toned selfie as she sat in the tattoo chair with Woo behind her. “Had a good hang with @_dr_woo_ yesterday and I’m loving my rose,” she wrote.
She then shared a photo of the new ink shortly thereafter: a couple roses on her bicep.
She captioned the post, “There she is,” beside two rose emojis. “Thanks again @_dr_woo_.”
The new ink might have been inspired by one of Duff’s upcoming songs! She recently revealed to MTV News that Ed Sheeran wrote and recorded a song for her new album called “Tattoo,” waking her up in the middle of the night to make it happen.
“He had been doing a promo day in L.A. and he’s like, ‘I know you have a 2-year-old, but could you please come and record at midnight?’ I was like, ‘I’ve already been in bed for three hours by midnight on most nights,'” she recalled. “But of course for him I did, and I’m such a huge fan—he’s so talented.”
In fact, it took them very little time to record the song—a moment that Duff admits was incredibly moving for her.
“He vocally produced it and came in the booth with me,” she explained. “I was really intimidated because, normally, they don’t do that, so I kept looking up and being like, ‘You’re Ed Sheeran and I’m singing the song that you wrote and I want to do right by it.’ It was awesome.”
She continued, “And then he, in like 15 minutes, did all the low stuff and the harmonies and the background. He just musically has to put in no effort it seems; it’s just him.”
The song will be released with her album sometime next year.
