“Brad [Pitt] and I are dating,” Garner joked to a group of videographers.

“You’re dating Brad Pitt?” a cameraman replied.

Garner burst into laughter during the charade. “Isn’t that great?” she mused. “Yeah!”

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck arrive at the Oscars on Feb. 24, 2013, in Hollywood.

The star’s gal pal walked ahead of her during the interaction — but chimed in. “Oh no,” the woman said, smiling.

Garner continued to chuckle as the men trailed behind her. “Congratulations on you and Brad!” the cameraman said. She waved before getting into her friend’s car.

Garner can relate to Pitt’s split from Angelina Jolie. Last year — in a now-legendary, then-devastating ‘summer of splits’ — she and Ben Affleck shocked Hollywood when they ended their 10-year marriage. As Us Weekly exclusively revealed in July, the exes — parents of Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4 — are in no rush to finalize the divorce. They remain amicable as they co-parent.

Pitt, 52, and Jolie, meanwhile, recently reached a temporary agreement concerning their kids. The Maleficent actress, 41, will get full physical custody of their kids Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8, and Pitt will receive visitation rights. The initial visit will be monitored by a therapist, and Pitt will have to take random drug and alcohol tests.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie attend the ‘In The Land Of Blood And Honey’ Los Angeles premiere on Dec. 8, 2011, in Hollywood.

Last month, Jolie filed for divorce after two years of marriage after Pitt was allegedly verbally abusive to their children aboard a private family jet. “He can’t believe this is what his life has become, and he’s in bad shape, but the kids are the only thing he’s hanging onto,” an insider told Us. “He’s been leaning heavily on his family and speaks to his parents and close friends and his manager constantly. His mom has been talking to him constantly.”

Jolie, for her part, is happy with the court decision. “She did get what she wanted out of this,” a second source told Us. “Now she wants to do what’s best for the kids. Yes, she is still upset but focused on family right now and got most of what she asked for.”
