Clooney has been in high spirits all day
George Clooney must be having the best day of his life basking in the glorious sunshine in Venice before he becomes a married man.
And we can reveal he has been such a “great mood” he’s allegedly been swapping tequila for cigars at Hotel Cipriani, where A-listers are staying ahead of the ceremony.
US TV personality A. J. Calloway, who has been reporting on the wedding for US TV show Extra, posted a photograph on Instagram today holding a bottle of tequila with George’s signature on.
He added the caption: “So I spoke to George and he is in a great mood. Asked about his tequila and he was kind enough to give me a bottle, I in turn gave him one of my cigars. #AGreatExchange #CASAMIGOS #GeorgeClooney.”
A. J., who has interviewed George on a number of occasions on the red carpet, also posted a close up shot of the award-winning tipple, after the star had 100 cases flown in for his wedding.
The actor was clearly in a good mood, as he was also seen laughing and looking out at photographers balancing on boats trying to get a photograph this morning while he was having breakfast.
The Oscar winner arrived in the city on Friday with his fiancée, British lawyer Amal Alamuddin, and was greeted by cheers from fans and the world’s press.
He set out with his male companions to celebrate his last night as a free man at Da Ivo near Saint Mark’s Square, where he tucked into the eatery’s Venetian and Tuscan delicacies, according to channelnewsasia.com.
A waiter at the restaurant claimed group enjoyed a banquet of “stuffed zucchini flowers, figs and ham and fresh Tagliolini pasta with truffles.” Sounds yummy.
Clooney then headed to the luxury Cipriani Hotel where he stayed the night after ending the evening knocking back shots and smoking cigars.

The wedding party will reportedly be escorted by police via boat to the luxury seven-star Aman resort within the 450-year-old Palazzo Papadopoli, where they will enjoy a five-course dinner.
The restaurant at the venue will allegedly turn into a nightclub and Lana Del Rey has been invited to serenade the couple, while George will dedicate the song When I Fall in Love to his beautiful bride.
